Young Justice: Dragona (Kali Royale)

Kali Royale (or Dragona) is the newest member of Young Justice. She is part of a triplet set (oldest to youngest it's her brother Kalsifur,her sister Kreela, and then her) and is the daughter of Ignitus. Unlike her brother and sister, who hatched as dragons with the ability to turn into a human, Kali hatched as a human with the ability to turn into a gold dragon (a breed even rarer than her mother and sister, who are white dragons). Her mother believes this is because her mate is a human (a lawyer named Derek Royale) and the human genes were dominate in HER instead of her siblings. This alienated Kali from the rest of the hatchlings in "The Tribe". Not only that, but Kali has very little control over her transformations. This is why she does not join Conner and Megan at school, for fear of transforming and hurting someone. Conner feels as though he understands her. After all, just as she is ridiculed and mocked by her own kind, his "father" won't give him the time of day. Although Kali doesn't feel like being a human is necessarily a weak flaw, she gets easily angered when teased about it. She lives with her father, Derek, in Metropolis and spends nearly all her free time with Conner.
Kali is very protective of her father, and is willing to go and rescue him even when her siblings wouldn't for fear of angering the League. Aside from having enemies as a lawyer, many dragons blame him for the "weakness" of Ignitus' children. They think he dirtied the purity of the dragon bloodline and must be made an example of. Of course, Kali would never let that happen. She's willing to defy her mother directly to her face and charge out to save him (usually with Conner close behind) and is never at all surprised to find her mother and siblings fighting at her side later on. After all, Derek was a well loved mate and father.
